1. An object at rest remains at rest and an object in motion maintain its velocity unless it experiences an unbalanced force.
2. The unbalanced force acting on an object equals the object’s mass times its acceleration.
3. The acceleration of an object is proportional to the net force on the object and inversely proportional to the object’s mass.

Law of motion 1:
Our catapult remains at rest when we aren’t using it but when we launch something in the air this object flies into the air but it keeps its velocity until it lands.

When we pull back the launcher it tells us that we are about to release something, when we let go of the launcher the reaction is that an object flies out of the launcher.
